POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Penetration Tester at Hacktive Security, you will play a critical role in identifying vulnerabilities within our clients’ systems, networks, and applications. You will utilize your deep expertise in ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing techniques to assess the security posture of various digital assets and recommend robust remediation strategies. This role involves collaborating closely with our clients, security teams, and fellow experts to ensure the highest level of cybersecurity for our clients.

RESPONSABILITIES

• Lead and conduct comprehensive penetration tests on a variety of systems, networks, web applications, mobile applications, and other digital assets;
• Identify, assess, and exploit security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in clients’ environments while maintaining strict adherence to ethical standards;
• Provide expert-level guidance on security best practices and risk mitigation strategies to clients’ technical and non-technical teams;
• Collaborate with clients to understand their unique security requirements and tailor penetration testing approaches to meet their specific needs;
• Develop detailed and actionable penetration testing reports that highlight vulnerabilities, potential risks, and recommended remediation steps;
• Mentor and guide other penetration testers, providing guidance and expertise to elevate their skills and knowledge;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest hacking techniques, security trends, and emerging threats to continuously improve the quality of penetration testing services;
• Contribute to the development of new tools, methodologies, and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of penetration testing efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Resident in Italy or Spain;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities;
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, web technologies, and application security concepts;
• Proficiency in using various penetration testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies;
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, NIST, etc;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to new challenges;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior team members;
• Proficiency Italian (and of course English) is required, with the ability to effectively communicate and conduct business in a professional setting in both languages.
